Your are the three best tips for teachers who want to reverse diabetes. One of the most important jobs there are in this planet is being a teacher. Why are they so important well they control our future. The educate children who come from sometimes very bad environments with bad living situations and they do everything they can to God that person to a better future and to accomplish something in their life. I’m writing this blog post so hopefully there is a teacher out there back in also have a quality life and health and doesn’t have to get affected by the devastating problems that show from diabetes. I never forget when I was in Grammar School I had a really good teacher my 8th grade teacher and I remember every single time at recess we go out to play she would always go and have a big bag of potato chips. And the thing I never understood because she was a bit overweight at the time why would she do this to herself and she also taught health education. Eventually I graduated went through high school went through college and just before I became a doctor I found out she had a massive heart attack and how to quit doing the thing that she love the most teaching. So this advice I’m giving goes out not only to her but to anyone else that could really benefit from understanding some basic tips they can use to help them or verse their diabetes. Some of the challenges I hear from teachers are the fact that they can’t do snacks and take breaks and eat in front of the kids. Some of it has to do to their schedules and others have to do with the board they are currently working in or the principal who is keeping to strict guidelines. I also hear sometimes at the workload and the children could be very stressful. They don’t give you enough time to plan and some of the children could be downright rude and disrespectful. And no one decides to become a teacher for those reasons. You become a teacher because you really want to help and make a difference. So let’s talk about what things you can do in order to help your diabetes and get healthier. Since many of my patients are teachers I’m going to explain what I’ve done with some of them in order to help you. One of the first things I discussed is to prepare ahead I recommend every week one day week you cook for the entire week making a ton of chicken or beef or steaks and a lot of vegetables. one of the most important jobs there are in this planet is being teacher. You can make it very easy by putting them into Tupperware some sort of storage and keeping it into the  refrigerator that the rest of the teachers share with you. this will help when one of the teachers are really nice parents decide to bring an old junk food donuts and other things you shouldn’t be eating because at least you’ll have some healthy food to choose from. Two it seemed a really challenging to get your snacks in just due to regulations what I tell my patients who are teachers is that they should go and have a bathroom break and go to the bathroom and have a snack such as snack as peanuts or some other type of protein. sometimes other teachers can just swing by and free you up for a few minutes while you take that break. but honestly as a diabetic you usually don’t need to take a very long break to just put a handful of almonds or other nuts in your mouth. number three most of the times school gets out around 3 and if you’re not doing after school program you have an opportunity but from then to 5 to actually go to the gym what I would recommend is as soon as the final bell rings I would have another snack. Because by the time you go home and change and get to the gym that should be digested and you have balance your blood sugar levels. why this could be very helpful is that now you’re starting to get your metabolism to work and also you since you’ve cooked dinner earlier in the week you don’t have a lot of prep to do at home.
